Hara hachibu ni isha irazu

The Japanese have an expression called "Hara hachibu ni isha irazu" (ok, don't ask me to pronounce it)- "A stomach eight-tenths full needs no doctor."

Brilliant advice. It's our constant over-eating that gets those tummies expanding. I love to get up from the table feeling light. There are few things I hate more than that that" ' I'm stuffed worse than the thanksgiving turkey' feeling, when my tummy aches, and I feel so sluggish that even moving is an effort. Love the idea of harahachibu ni isha irazu - such a sensible idea.
