Healthy recipes for kids will not only share with you healthy recipes for families - but it's also a place where you can share your healthy eating recipes too. I'm collecting them so people wanting to help their children eat healthier have some great recipes to do just that.
What they have in common is that they all use vegetables or fruit in ways that children will enjoy. This may mean it's a cake recipe, or a recipe for a meal, or even a snack. They are all healthy eating recipes that, if you get your children to help you prepare, will show them that there are many different ways to eat healthily and get them involved in food preparation (which many children simply love).
These recipes for kids for a healthy lifestyle (and Mums and Dads too) will take ordinary cooking and turn it ino something extra-ordinary. Your children will be amazed at how delicious these healthy eating recipes for children are, and so will you.
I'd strongly suggest that you get your children to help you with food preparation and these healthy eating recipes are perfect for that.
Remember that food and healthy lifestyles can be encouraged. Get your children to grate the carrots, or zucchini. Just remember what is age-appropriate....even the smallest child can peel and break up a banana or break lettuce leaves. Older children can cut bananas with a blunt knife and older children with good fine motor control can work with sharp knives but please make sure they don't tod this unsupervised until they've proved to you that they can do this safely. PS...getting them to be your little kitchen helpers has magical powers when it comes to eating healthier.
Not only that but good food good health and good relationships are all encouraged when you and your children are working in the kitchen together. You will increase a sense of connection with them (one of the best possible things you can do for healthy cells), because it's a great chance to hear about their day, and learn about their concerns. It's also provides a fabulous opportunity to praise them for their help (another fabulous health enhancer when you understand the mind body connection). And getting them to work with you in the kitchen creating foods for a healthy lifestyle it has the double win of keeping them away from the harmful effects of TV. (1)
