Many of you may have heard of a program called 'Body 4 Life." A few years ago I went through a spate of seeing previous diehards who'd signed up for this heavy-duty exercise program combined expensive supplements.

The stories were very similar. They'd all joined up to lose weight, they all had and they're all felt fantastic. But then one of a couple things started to happened: either their:

I'd define a body for life as one that I can fit into comfortably without spending hour and hours at the gym. If it has to be a sculptured, taut body - that's unsustainable for Ms Average so it's NOT what I would think of as a body 4 life. It merely has to be

  • a body I feel alive, comfortable and healthy in.
  • It has to be a body that you'll take
  • for a swim,
  • feel OK about others touching
  • and that
  • you'd never miss a social event because you felt self-conscious 'wearing' it.

So how does one get such a good and healthy body to live in? It's not dieting because dieting usually only leads to more dieting. But it IS about making self-loving, healthy choices and going on a mental diet.

That's the fastest way to get a body 4 life is to do some activities to improve your self image. One of the most powerful ways to do that is to take just 3 minutes from your day for the next month and do the visualization exercise I've recorded for you. Last month I told you about this and then promptly had a hiccup - I apologize, it's now up and working.

In a nutshell - how do you get a body for life:

Self-loving healthy choices when it comes to eating, being active and resting + our fabulous vizualization.

And as for all those fastest weight loss products - they're no way to get a body 4 life either.

Talking of which.. you know those ridiculous weight loss ads on the ditch diets site? Well your opinions have been very interesting to monitor. As of now 49 people have taken the poll, and 40.8% of you are bothered by them. And the winner for this period of a copy of the Joy-Filled Body is Jill from South Africa.

Despite the fact that majority of my visitors aren't bothered by these ads - I have to admit that even though I want to respect that people have a choice, they do kinda bug me. So I'm going to be experimenting with some changes over the next few months - so please keep taking my poll so that I can monitor your opinions and make this into the most visitor-friendly but also financially viable site.


When we're overweight, touch is something we tend to avoid because we feel self-conscious. But our skin is the largest organ of the body - with numerous nerve-endings and when we can get our minds out the way - the. healing power of human touch can be enormous.

My first batch of words is due at the publisher on 1 November - so I'm working away furiously. I'm fascinated by the path the book seems to be taking. I'm always amazed how book writing seems to take on a life of it's own. And just like Mind over Fatter: Learn to feel great without ever dieting, it's turning out to be way wiser than any knowledge I personally hold in my head!
